Stone Cobra Tactical Basic & Intermediate Carbine Courses

This past weekend I decided to further develop my rifle and pistol skills. Last month I signed up for a weekend course from Stone Cobra Tactical. Check out their website: Stone Cobra Tactical. Anyways, two words can sum it up........FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!! These guys are all ex-military / private sector security / current law enforcement and they know their shit. I went there with a friend, Rich and also met his buddy, Kingsley.

Basic Carbine started off with a safety brief and how to disassemble, clean, and reassemble your rifle. This was awesome b/c Rich has never disassembled his rifle before. We spent a good 2 hours on it. Then we zero-ed our rifles. We ended the day shooting from different positions behind barricades.

Rich and his buddy couldn't make it to the 2nd day, so I was all by my lonesome. But I still had a blast. We started off Intermediate Carbine with transitions to our secondary weapon. We then got into movement drills (forward/backward, lateral, and diagonal). We shot from supine and then the urban prone position. We also did group and singles competition.....which I did pretty well in. Had a malfunction with my grip and safety....but they helped me fix the problem and I was G2G.

All I can say is I think I'm hooked!!!! Can't wait till I can do Intermediate Carbine 2.5.

Gee at Target Masters Range

Gee and I had the day off of work today. We decided to go to Target Masters in Milpitas to go shoot. We had a blast!!!!! We were shooting at 10 yards. Here are some pics I took of Gee today.

New Eotech 512 Holographic Sight

Well, got rid of the Vortex Red Dot Sight and Magnifier and got me an Eotech 512. Can't wait to take it out to the range. This sight looks and feels really sturdy and well built.....it still would probably work after being dropped out a 2nd story window. But I'm not going to test that out. Here are some pics:
